Love Overflowing

Handprint fireworks

Another “No Time For Flashcards” activity. Easy to do and didn’t take long to gather the materials. Great craft for when you have a limited amount of time.

8 under 7

Eight grandkids under the age of 7. Madeline, my brother’s step-daughter, turns 7 in August. Then you have Emily (3 1/2), Chloe (2 1/2), Benjamin (2), Timothy (2), Cameron (1 1/2), Cole (7 months) and Zachary (5 1/2 months).  Holy cow, right?!?

This past weekend we got ALL of the cousins together to celebrate Timothy’s 2nd birthday. It was so much fun to see all of the kids together. I love seeing them grow up so close in age. My only regret is that we don’t get them together more often. It stinks living out of town in that aspect. But it makes the time we do get together more special.

Timothy’s party was lots of fun! Thanks Richard for the great time!

4th of July shaker

Emily wanted a noise maker that she can use on the 4th. My sister gave me the idea of making a rattle shaker. We made 2- one for her and one for her brother.

The first thing we did was divide up the rice and dye it. Emily really enjoyed shaking the baggies and watching the rice turn red and blue. Then we poured the rice into clean, empty water bottles. I then super glued the lids on and voila! A shaker rattle was born!
