Project #2- Operation: headband

Emily loves hair accessories. Barrets, bows, headbands, you name it. In the past 3-4 years, she has acquired quite the selection to choose from. I have been trying to figure out the best way to organize all of her junk accessories. It seems like as soon as I have it neat and organized she decides that it’s “beauty day” and dumps it all out.

I ran across this idea months ago and never followed through with it. After buying yet another package of headbands (all my fault, I know) I decided that I needed to take action!

I used an empty formula can, scrapbook paper, mod podge and princess stickers to create a headband holder. I think it turned out pretty nice. It’s definitely a lot better than hanging them on her shelf, only to have them get stepped on when they fall off. If I were to make another one, I would probably use an oatmeal container instead. I am just a bit worried that the formula container is going to stretch them out a little bit. But then again, Emily has a rather large head so I might be worrying for nothing.
